These amazing musicians play with targeted virtuosity. Nothing is played to showcase something. It's all done for the sake of the music and the songs consist of careful choosen themes and developments. Even the solos (often abused to show off technique) uncover the relaxed sovereign attitude of true masters. In my opinion Mammoth shine especially in their softer moments, though also the lovers of Prog Metal should appreciate it (Limited access to the one) and will fall to their knees.
Favorite track: The Acclimation of Sedation (ft. Chase Bryant and Mateus Asato).

Amazing to hear so many styles blended together so seamlessly, and it's still just plain fun to listen to! They don't fall into the trap of complexity for complexity's sake.
Favorite track: Obscurements (ft. Ben Luria).

Many fusion bands tend to be a straight wank fest. MAMMOTH is not the case. Sure, these guys have some serious skills, their music however has something which other miss. Soul! I like they don't push too hard on instrumentation and heaviness. Makes the record flow very gently. It's such a pleasant experience listening to Deviations over and over again. This is how a smart fusion should be done.
Favorite track: Obscurements (ft. Ben Luria).

This collection of sound to us is about finding regularity amongst irregularity, distinguishing harmony in discord, hearing silence filtered in static, and experiencing the cohesiveness that exists within deviations. It is in direct correlation to how our lives has transpired over time: continually deviating from predisposition while still exposing random junctures that begin to materialize as less arbitrary to when they were first encountered.
